2021 graphite knights

in 2021 i was very inspired by Eiko Ishioka's costume work for the 1992 movie adaptation of Bram Stoker's Dracula, in particular Dracula's red fluted armour. i initially created a couple graphite sketches riffing on the idea and then started making more detailed graphite pieces based on those ideas. i really like working in this way in this medium, unfortunately it is fairly taxing on my hands physically and so i haven't returned to it in a little while.
